Lack of Exercise

Lack of Exercise

If you have a generally inactive lifestyle (not doing moderate-to-vigorous physical activity on a daily basis), you have an increased risk for developing CHD. Along with poor diet, lack of exercise is a primary culprit in causing weight gain. Increasing the amount of exercise you get can also help control your blood pressure.

Even moderate-intensity exercise can help lower your risk of CHD if you do it regularly and make it a permanent part of your lifestyle. You should always talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program.
