Echocardiography (ECHO)

Echocardiography

During echocardiography, a small device, called a transducer, is moved around your chest and takes moving pictures of your heart using ultrasound waves. This test can detect problems in the heart muscle, valves, chambers, and major blood vessels around the heart, and can measure blood pressure within the heart and lungs.
